A small silver fish with a straight back and a small upturned mouth.
Not a match mans fish because of its lack of size and weight, however due to the large shoals, it has been known for some of us to go TIDDLER BASHING, however you will have to work very hard and catch a lot of fish just to weigh in 1 Kg.
Average weight - 1 oz(28.3 gm)
Specimen fish - 2 oz(56.6 gm)

Colouring

Back = Grey Blue

Flanks = Silver

Underside = White

Fins =Beige or Lemon

Habitat

Slow moving rivers and their tributaries
Mainly surface feeders feeding on insect lava, zoo plankton and insects that fall in to the water.
