Details
The number one predator in our waters, it is an immensely powerful fish with a long and powerful body.
The mouth contains hundreds of inward pointing teeth and when it closes there is no escape for the unfortunate victim of its assault. The dorsal,caudal and anal fins are close together at the rear
giving it the powerful thrust when in the attack mode.

Habitat
Most inland waters such as deep rivers,lakes and gravel pits.
Here they lurk in the shadows of the streamer weeds or in the margins,waiting to pounce on to their prey.
Their diet consists mainly of fish but they will take most small animals given the opportunity.

Live or dead baits of other freshwater species plus mackerel,sprat and herring.
