Laying - On
A float fishing technique laying the weight of your shot firmly on the bottom. Size of weights vary according to the speed of the water.
small shot for still water, bigger shot for running waters.
In running water you also need to attach the float by using top and bottom float rubbers.
The length of trail should be around 2ft., thus allowing the fish to take the bait without feeling any weight and only when it moves off with it does the bite register, at this point smoothly and positively lift into the fish.
