Arlesey Bomb
Pear shaped with swivel attached to the narrow end, it sits firmly on the bottom and allows free passage of line through the eye of the swivel.
 
Bullet
A pierced ball, line passes through hole and rolls along the bottom in running water, thus drifting the bait down stream.
Coffin
Shaped flat sided with a hole through its length, line passes through the hole and its shape holds the bait stationary in running water.
Fixed Leger
Simply fix one line stop to your main line then thread the line through the eye of a link swivel, attach the other line stop below that and clip an Arlesey Bomb to the swivels link, make a basic looped knot at the end of your main line for attaching your hook.
Running Leger
Thread the line through the eye of a link swivel {or hole in the case of Bullets and Coffins}, attach a line stop below it and make a basic looped knot at the end of your main line for attaching your hook.
This simple set up allows us to - change legers - adjust distances from the hook bait and also to vary the amount of free line between the line stops.
Paternoster
A simple rig using 2 line stops and a three way and a linked swivel.
A very effective way of keeping your hook bait above weed beds.
1.--- Attach the first line stop at the depth you require to keep your bait above the weeds
2.--- Thread your line through the vertical rings of the swivel.
3.--- Attach the other line stop immediately below the swivel.
4.--- Fasten the linked swivel to the end of the line via the end ring.
5.--- Attach your choice of ledger to the swivels link.
6.--- Finally attach your hook length to the horizontal eye of the swivel.
You can easily change Legers,Depths and Hook Lengths to suit the conditions.
