A still water float that will cope with most situations.
On the bottom
Group 4 No.8 shot 16 inch from the hook
Add a single No.9 shot 6 inch below this group
Add a single No.10 shot 6 inch below the No.9
On the drop
Simply spread the No.8 shot evenly down the line.

Body Up

Group bulk shot or olivette 2ft. from the hook
Add a single No.9 shot 4 inch below this group.
Add a No.10 shot 4 inch below the No.9 shot.
Add a further No.10 shot 4 inch above the hook.
On the drop
Move the bulk shot or olivette further up the line and increase the distance between the last dropper shot and the hook.

Waggler
This smaller version for pole fishing is ideal when there are skimming and blustery winds on still or very slow moving waters.
Shot up in the conventional waggler pattern using smaller shot, either in bulk or strung out if fish are taking bait on the drop.
The line above the float should be no more than 1 metre.

Dart
A very sensitive float, good on stillwater, not for running water or very strong winds.
A weighted float made of cane with a balsa body, designed for use with rod and line on canals, the smaller varieties are equally effective with a pole.
