waggler + 3 No.8 shot laid on the bottom, experiment with

sending them to another angler,s swim. There is also an
increasing head of carp in this canal and have been caught on

Ryton-upon-Dunsmore near Coventry
Meadowlands - A423,Oxford Road
With its diverse stocking policy, Meadowlands is a popular
pleasure and match fishery with Club match catches last year
coming in at anything up to over 100lbsin summer. Last year one
match was won with 80lbs of tench and fishery owner John Bloor
says he is expecting even better things for 2002/2003. Situated
on the outskirts of Coventry next to the Keller factory just off
the main A423 road which runs from Ryton-upon-Dunsmore to
Southam, Meadowlands comprises two former sand and gravel pits
which cover a total of 17 acres. Unlike many commercial
fisheries, its Lambsdown Lake bucks the trend of being a
predominantly carp venue by also offering a massive head of tench
which form part of the 20 different species in the water whilst
Warren Pool, the smaller lake furthest from the car park, boasts
the country's biggest head of stillwater barbel.
FACILITIES:- include car parking and a snack-bar which serves
hot and cold drinks and food at the week-ends and on Bank
Holidays in summer.
