Off the M5 take the A38 towards Plymouth - After about 2 miles
take the Left fork on to the A380 - Head towards Newton Abbot and
Torquay, at the top of the hill take second Left to Starcross and
Mamhead - Go down the the hill passing Mamhead House - Take the
next Right (sign marked Fishing) on entering the village take the
first Left after the first cottage and follow the lane to the
lake.
A lovely small and secluded fishery with picturesque surroundings, it has a good head of average sized fish providing good sport especially opposite the island.
Paste or Corn fished over a bed of pellets brings good results.
If its bigger Carp and Tench that you are after then a change of tactics is required.
Note :- Access is unsuitable for disabled anglers

From the A55 junction 22 take the A38 into Highbridge - Turn Right into Burnham Rd.
The entrance to the fishery is on the Left just past Apex Drive.
A good venue for most types of fishing, it is a large pond that is well stocked with Roach - Bream and Skimmers. all of which respond well to maggots
Hemp seed can be used to effect as loose feed when using the pole or waggler. Feeder tactics also work well using worm and casters the hook bait.
There are lots of Carp around the 4lbs mark. which readily take the same baits.

Live Baiting and Night fishing
Fishing is open from 5.30am to 10.30pm.
Tickets :- £2.50 per day or £7 for a week available
at the local tackle shop.
