River Thames

North Circular A406 -Follow the signs to the A205 towards Kew - Across Kew bridge turn Left at the lights - At the T-junction turn Right and look for Queens Rd. which is at the top at the top of the hill on your Left - turn Left at the mini roundabout and Sharp Right at the next roundabout - Go through the lights - After the first pedestrian crossing Turn Right into Sandy Lane - Turn Right at the bottom on to Ham St. a short way on is the Car Park or take the Second Left off Ham St. and park opposite the Young Mariners Club - a track at the side side of the club leads to the river.
The river here is tidal and contains a superb collection of fish, Bream and Skimmers are prolific - Specimen Carp and Barbel rest under jetties and alongside boats. - Roach and Dace are there in shoals.
The banks are steep in places and river water levels rise quickly. Make sure you know the Tide Times and fish just after High Tide. Alternatively if you are after Carp then fish just before the tide starts coming in.

I repeat make sure you know the tide times and take adequate precautions.

This is a public fishery and the fishing is free

There are Carp up to 17lbs. or so , however they are hard to come by.
In late Autumn and winter a spot of Pike fishing in the margins is worth a go.
